Writing Content is Good
I was thinking about what to write for a blog post. I have a list of topics that I want to write.
None of them looked appealing today.
I caught myself thinking about the process of writing. So that’s what this blog post is going to be about.
Creating is Good for You
I think that making something and creating gives you so much benefit.
Writing fits into this idea.
You can make something from just thinking about it. And getting those words down.
It helps free your mind. Unclog it. And I’m surprised more people don’t do it.
You Don’t Have to be a Good Writer
Writing content is good. The process itself is good. The content itself might be total crap.
What I am writing right now might be total crap to you. That’s OK.
I just like the feeling of typing. And writing things out.
Some things get published in the wilds of the internet. Other things don’t.
I don’t think it matters too much if others read it or not. But there is a good feeling that someone could and get some sort of value from it.
Not Always Like This
It’s strange thinking about how much I write now. Compared to say when I was at high school.
I like to think that maybe it was because I had no computer and everything was written by hand.
Or maybe the content and things we had to write didn’t interest me at all.
I’m not sure. But maybe I should have been writing more back then.
My Takeaway
If you’ve somehow stumbled across this blog post. Are you creating content?
Either for yourself or others?
You should give it a try. Write into a text file. Or a Google doc. Whatever you have access to.
Dump your thoughts out and see how you feel.
The real trick is to do the things you want to do. And not get caught up in a never ending cycle of trying to do things to make others happy.
