Getting Distracted

I just don’t think I can ever just fully focus on just one thing.

Maybe one day I will be able to. Maybe I’ll find that one thing that trumps everything.

Or more likely I will want to create things and jump between them.

New Inspiration

I randomly saw a tweet from someone that was making money from some websites.

But not in a scammy, let me sell you the secrets kind of way. More like hey this is what I sort of do and it’s working.

Are the figures they are mentioning vaguely inflated? Probably.

But it did spark some interest in my mind.

That from all these years of creating things, putting things online and knowing that sometimes you just have to grind things out. That maybe I know a little bit more than some other people.

Already I’ve noticed that some things this person on Twitter mentions as good tools or addons for your website, are actually a bit shit.

A 30 second glance tells me that people don’t like them, and there are better alternatives out there.

I come across this a lot. People only know what they know.

Oh and I don’t think they are affiliate products, they are just what they like to use. But like I said, a bit shit.

Working on This New Thing

The goal is:

make some money
target the US market
not be in a super niche field, while still being a bit niche

I think I have the knowledge and tools to make this work.

I’ve done it in the past. Then just gave up on it. Once I had a website all about forklifts. One that got global visitors and they were interacting with it.

I got bored and decided to kill it.

I should have just held onto it.

Everything Else

Other things are slowly being worked on. I’ve got a new process and thinking about content for GPNZ stuff. One that is more sutainable and I am happy with.

I’m also working on a long blog post that will be published here on this site. It interests me, but not enough to have a whole website dedicated to it.

Currently the post is over 2000 words long. I’m sure it will be much more once it’s finished. I think it will be helpful.
