Writing Can Help

It’s that time of the year when you or people you know think about resolutions or goals, most we know will fail. It’s OK. It’s a thing we all do at some point or another.

I’ve started to read the book Atomic Habits again. Think this might be my 3rd read through. There’s a reason it’s sold so many copies. Check it out if you haven’t.

Habits beat goals.

My new habit is going to be writing here a lot more.

Writing Can Help Clear the Mind

I’m not sure if this is true for everyone. But it works for me. It’s worked for a long time.

Even if sometime I go stretches without writing.

So I’m going to build up the habit of writing. I wrote a lot a long time ago. This time there will be more blog posts on here.

Most will be average at best. Maybe there will be some gems in there, who knows?

Don’t Over Complicate It

I think we like to over complicate things. When it comes to writing here’s a couple of things that come to mind.

  • When will I write?
  • What will I write this on or in?
  • Who is going to read it?
  • Should I set up a newsletter?
  • How long should I write?

I’m sure there are other things you can add to the list.

In the end all of that is noise. All that matters is building on the habit. Writing things out. There is no need to complicate things.

So with that. Think of this as my first habit forming post.
